Garden banquets in Guggital – celebrating in the countryside
Our beautiful garden not only offers a wonderful view of Lake Zug and the city of Zug, but also the perfect setting for your unforgettable banquets. Amidst the old chestnut trees, we can arrange festive banquet seating with long rows of tables for your celebrations.
Reservations and weather conditions
For every reservation we accept in the garden, we also reserve a space inside. This means we are prepared for all weather conditions. On cooler summer days, we will contact you in good time to decide together whether the banquet would be better held inside.
Garden banquets in uncertain weather
Although we love garden banquets more than anything, we ask for your understanding that we generally move large banquets indoors when the weather is uncertain. This is because moving a large group of people indoors in the middle of a banquet can lead to long interruptions in service.
Option for double table reservation
If you still insist that the banquet should take place outside and we have to double up on the tables for safety reasons, we will charge for double the table setting. This way we are prepared for all eventualities and can ensure that your celebration runs smoothly without any major interruptions.

Guggital's Terrace
A place to linger with a phenomenal view
Our terrace offers a wonderful view of Lake Zug and the city of Zug. The terrace is particularly popular in spring and autumn, as the house wall reflects the weaker sun during these seasons and provides pleasant warmth.
Please note that on particularly hot days we leave the tables on the terrace unoccupied until 8pm in the evening to ensure you a pleasant dining experience. After this time you can fully enjoy the refreshing evening breeze and the impressive view.
(The terrace itself has tables for four and cannot be extended (as it is no longer possible to walk through afterwards).

Garden lounge
Guggital's cozy garden lounge – your retreat in the countryside
Our garden lounge in the Guggital is the perfect place to unwind and end the day in a relaxed atmosphere. The lounge is divided into two inviting areas, each with its own charm.
The first area is equipped with comfortable garden sofas that invite you to spend cozy hours and have relaxed conversations. Here you can sit back and enjoy the wonderful view of the garden and nature.
The second area offers charming bistro seating, ideal for a small snack, a refreshing drink or lively conversation. The bistro seating creates a relaxed, informal atmosphere in which you will immediately feel at home.
Our garden lounge is the ideal place to escape from everyday life and find peace and relaxation in the midst of nature. Aperitifs are often held here.
The lounge can be booked for special occasions. There are 10 seats on the garden sofas and 9-12 seats in the bistro seating.

Our garden lounge , equipped with comfortable sofas and cozy bistro seating, is a popular meeting place for social gatherings. Here you can end the day in a relaxed atmosphere.

Directly from the hotel lobby you can reach the covered, cozy smoking lounge, which invites you to linger all year round with its comfortable garden sofas. The area is covered and sheltered from the wind, so smokers can find a pleasant place outdoors all year round.
Dogs in the garden
Dogs in Guggital – Restaurant and Garden
Of course, your four-legged friend is welcome with us, both in the restaurant and in the garden.
During summer operation, water bowls are available and we are happy to bring your dog some healthy dog treats from the Zug-based startup My Bo's (handmade, organic, grain-free).
What is not welcome?
Please do not let your dog run around freely or beg at tables.
Do not give your dog your plate or cutlery. We will be happy to bring you a dog bowl.
Do not place your dog on a chair unless he is very small and in a dog basket.
And what is a no-go?
Please do not allow your dog to do its business or mark its poop in the house, in the garden or on Guggital's green areas (park/children's playground). Even if the dog removes the waste itself, we ask you to respect this.

Sunsets in Zug
Zug sunsets are legendary
The Zug sunset is a true natural spectacle that can be admired in all its glory in the Guggital. All year round, the setting sun paints the sky in bright colors directly above Lake Zug.
An old Zug legend says that particularly colorful sunsets promise good weather for the next day. During the golden hour, the warm rays of the sun bathe the surroundings in a magical light and create an unforgettable atmosphere.
Whether you are sitting on our terrace with a glass of wine or simply enjoying the view from the window - the Zug sunsets in the Guggital are an experience you should not miss. See you soon to experience this natural spectacle together!
Table reservation
Is an unoccupied table really free?
A free table is not always actually free. Please ask our team before you take a seat.
We have different rooms and allocate tables according to capacity. Each table in the garden is assigned to a table inside so that we can quickly relocate our guests if the weather suddenly changes. If events are taking place inside at the same time, some garden tables are intentionally left unoccupied.
The terrace is the best place to sit, especially when the weather is milder. In midsummer, we recommend using these tables only after 8 p.m.
By making a reservation, you make our work process much easier and ensure that we can offer you the best service. This way, we can ensure that we have enough time for you and that you can enjoy your visit to the fullest.
