Please reserve your table in advance – for your best restaurant experience!
We want to offer you relaxing and unforgettable moments with us – with time, attention, and excellent service. An advance reservation helps us prepare for your visit and respond to your individual wishes.
Please note: A free table is not always an available one. With a reservation, you avoid unnecessary waiting times – and we can lovingly prepare your place for you.

Decoration
Floral table decorations for your perfect restaurant experience
Our tables are lovingly and seasonally decorated all year round. Currently, charming little Mexican palm trees in elegant white planters decorate our tables and give them a fresh atmosphere.
In addition to our standard decoration, we offer seasonal accents with moss roses, roses, tulips, silk flowers: hydrangeas and amaryllis, and real-touch tulips.
If you would like silk flowers instead of our pretty Mexican palm trees, please state this when making your reservation. Fresh flowers will be charged, but you can of course take them home with you. If fresh flowers come from our seasonal decorations, they will not be charged and cannot be taken home.
If you would like a special floral arrangement, please arrange this directly with your favorite florist to ensure you get exactly what you like best.
Of course, you are also welcome to bring your own decorations. Please make sure that they do not leave any residue on our tablecloths. Drip-free candles are welcome as long as they are placed with suitable protection and at a sufficient distance from flammable materials. We reserve the right to remove candles from the decorations if they do not appear sufficiently safe.
Please do not use sparklers or attach tape to property, walls or ceilings. Any damage will be charged.
In addition, we ask that you do not give the house decorations to children to play with so that they remain neat and attractive for the next guest.
Diet
Information on intolerances and special dietary needs
Our dishes are freshly prepared and we are happy to provide you with information about the ingredients and their origin.
Allergies and intolerances:
Please inform us if you are allergic to certain products, even if these are not suspected in your chosen dish.
Gluten : We are happy to serve gluten-free bread with your meal. All sauces on our menu are gluten-free.
Vegan : Please mention your diet when ordering. We will be happy to bring vegan butter to your table and will ensure that the dishes correspond to your vegan diet during the ordering process.
Banquets and intolerances:
If you are invited to a banquet and have food intolerances, please discuss the menu with the organizer in advance. This will enable us to take your needs into account as best as possible and offer you an enjoyable experience.
If we have to adjust the menu during the event, we reserve the right to charge for the cancelled and adjusted menu, as this would result in us incurring double costs for the goods.
What you brought - Corkage fee
The following applies to food and drinks brought with you:
Corkage fee wine: 45.00 per bottle (7.5 dl)
Spirits: 60.00 per bottle (7.5 dl)
Bring your own dessert: 5.00 per person
(If you have ordered Guggital desserts in addition to the dessert you brought with you, the flat rate may be waived depending on the effort involved)
Note: We do not offer room rental for events where food and drink are consumed without catering services from the house!
Why do we charge a corkage fee?
We understand that some guests may wish to bring their own drinks. Please note that the sale of drinks is an important part of our cost accounting and helps to maintain quality and service. We also incur costs for the provision and cleaning of glasses, plates and other tableware, so we charge a corkage fee to cover these costs. We thank you for your understanding and support.
Cognitive impairment
People with cognitive impairments
Every guest is welcome here and we want everyone to feel comfortable. People with cognitive impairments often have a hard enough time and sometimes encounter obstacles in public. That should not be the case here in Guggital.
A guest is a guest, and even children can attract attention sometimes. Don't worry and enjoy your stay with us.
Do you have any tips on how we can better accommodate you? You can only recognize the other person's needs when you're in their shoes. We'd be delighted if you have any suggestions!
A little anecdote shows how important this topic is to us:
Guests from the nearby facility for people with disabilities had something to celebrate. The group happily ordered their drinks and desserts and of course immediately caught the attention of other guests. One guest called a member of staff to his table and asked about the group a few tables away. At first his expression did not suggest anything pleasant, but his face brightened and he offered to buy the group their food. A really lovely gesture that touched us all very much.

Dogs in the restaurant
Your four-legged friend is very welcome in Guggital!
Can my dog come into the restaurant?
Yes, of course! You are welcome to bring your dog. There is enough space and we look forward to welcoming your four-legged companion.
Are you equipped for dogs?
We are happy to bring water to the table for your dog. Water bowls are also set up outside during the warmer months.
What is not welcome?
We ask you not to let your dog run around freely or beg at the tables. Do not give your dog your plate or cutlery. We will be happy to bring you a dog bowl. Please do not put your dog on a chair unless it is very small and in a dog basket.
And what is a no-go?
Please do not allow your dog to do its business or mark its poop in the house, in the garden or on Guggital's green areas (park/children's playground). Even if the dog removes the waste itself, we ask you to respect this.
The waiter touched a dog and now he's bringing my plate!
We may greet happy dogs with a cuddle, but of course we wash our hands afterwards. We stay away from furry guests during service.

Here in Guggital, we happily distribute the delicious dog biscuits from My Bo's, a very ambitious start-up from Zug. These dog treats are carefully handmade, organic and grain-free. They are developed using the latest scientific methods and lovingly prepared.

The Zug-based start-up companyMy Bo's Organic Dog Treats specializes in healthy, grain-free dog treats. The idea came about because the company's own dog, 'Bo', couldn't tolerate store-bought treats. These healthy, sustainably produced biscuits were developed together with veterinarians and dog trainers and have long since become an insider tip among dog owners.
Recommended product for your four-legged friend
Your dog is welcome to try the delicious, healthy treats from My Bo's. We have a well-stocked range and sell them at retail prices. The cuddly four-legged friend in the picture is Bo!

We don't have any special cutlery or crockery, but we do have a large selection of different shapes and glasses. Let us know how we can make things easier for you. We can even pre-cut the food and still arrange it nicely.

Answers to questions about accessibility in the Guggital:
The main entrance has three steps. If you can manage these, we will be happy to reserve a parking space for you directly in front of the entrance.
If steps are not an option for you, we recommend the garden entrance. From the main car park, an asphalt path (downhill) leads into the Guggital garden and to the garden entrance.
We will be happy to open the garden entrance for you to ensure completely level access. Please let us know in advance.
Our toilets are on the same level as the restaurant and are accessible at ground level. Although we could not meet the requirements for fully accessible toilets, we decided to forego more toilets to create enough space and made the doors wider.
There is enough space for wheelchairs, including electric wheelchairs, in the restaurant and in the garden.

Smoke
Smoking in Guggital
Smoking is not permitted inside, but we have a comfortable alternative for our smoking guests:
Guggital's cozy smoking lounge
Our inviting outdoor smoking lounge can be accessed directly from the hotel lobby. It is covered and protected from the wind, so you can smoke in a pleasant atmosphere all year round. Comfortable lounge furniture provides additional comfort.
There is also an ashtray at the entrance.
Smoking in the garden
Smoking is permitted in the garden. Please use the ashtrays provided.
Snack and tobacco vending machine
In the hotel lobby, to the right of the reception, you will find a snack and tobacco vending machine for your convenience. Please note that the machine only accepts cash and not 5-franc coins.
