Autumn at Guggital

A Season to Savour

As the days grow shorter and the landscape around Lake Zug takes on its autumn colours, the flavours on our plates become warmer and more aromatic too. Our autumn menu combines seasonal ingredients with popular Guggital classics, fine game dishes and the occasional surprising creation.

Whether for lunch, a cosy evening meal or simply a delicious dessert in between – we look forward to sharing a wonderful autumn season with you.

Our Autumn Drink

Autumn gets its very own drink at Guggital: Guggital Passion – fruity, fresh and aromatic.

Homemade passion fruit purée meets a touch of rum, Prosecco, fresh lime and mint. For those who prefer to enjoy it without alcohol, our Guggital Passion Zero.Zero combines all the fruity freshness with alcohol-free rum and Prosecco.

A little passion for autumn – in a glass.

Autumn Starters

Pumpkin is, of course, a must at this time of year. Our creamy pumpkin and ginger soup is available either vegan or served with a red prawn from Mazara and toasted sesame.

There is also lamb’s lettuce with crispy bacon, egg and croûtons, a Styrian version with pumpkin seed dressing and toasted pumpkin seeds, as well as marinated pumpkin carpaccio with red endive, pomegranate and delicate almond cream.

For something a little different, discover our porcini dumplings with kombu consommé or cuttlefish alla Puttanesca.

The Flavours of Autumn

Our main courses show autumn from its most delicious side. Miso-marinated Black Cod with rice, kimchi and pak choi meets a duo of beef and veal fillets with port wine sauce and Pommes Berny.

For a vegetarian treat, try our autumn pear risotto with Taleggio, roasted endive and caramelised walnuts. And if you love all the traditional accompaniments of a game dish but prefer to skip the game itself, our colourful “All the Trimmings – Without the Game” plate brings together red cabbage, chestnuts, chanterelles and many more autumn favourites.

Game Season at Guggital

Game season is an essential part of autumn at Guggital. Venison escalope with creamy game sauce, sliced venison with creamy chanterelle sauce, bacon-wrapped deer fillet or our classic hunter-style venison stew bring the flavours of the season to the table.

For two or more guests, there is our Guggital game classic: saddle of venison with two sauces and a generous selection of traditional accompaniments.

Guggital Shokado Bento

Our Shokado Bento joins us for autumn too. Several small creations are carefully arranged in individual dishes and served together on our wooden trays.

Tuna tataki, miso-marinated Black Cod, cuttlefish alla Puttanesca and other little delicacies make the Bento a varied experience for anyone who enjoys discovering different flavours.

Sweet Autumn Moments

Autumn has arrived on our dessert menu too: vegan cheesecake with gingerbread spices, apple and rum raisins, or Satha’s yoghurt mousse with a creamy yoghurt centre in a white chocolate velours, accompanied by dill meringues, green apple and apple sorbet.

There are also autumn dessert minis, Vermicelles, Coupe Nesselrode and, of course, our homemade ice creams and sorbets, as well as our popular Zuger Kirsch Ice Cream Cake.

If choosing is simply too difficult, pick three Dessert Minis as a Trio – and when there is only room for one little sweet treat, they are naturally available as a Single too.

Afternoons at Guggital

Between 1.30 pm and 5.30 pm, Guggital is also a lovely place to take a little time out.

Enjoy a slice of Zuger Kirschtorte, an ice cream coupe, homemade ice cream, an iced coffee or something savoury from our afternoon menu – perhaps accompanied by a leisurely chat and a beautiful view over Zug.

And Then Christmas Slowly Draws Near …

From 17 November 2026, our menu takes on a festive touch as the Advent season arrives at Guggital.

If you are already planning a Christmas party, company dinner or festive occasion with family and friends, it is well worth thinking ahead: our Christmas Menu Suggestions, with festive menus, buffets and special ideas for both smaller and larger groups, are already available for you to discover.

For the Advent season in particular, we recommend booking early – the most popular evenings in December tend to fill up quickly.

We Kindly Ask You to Reserve

For us, hospitality does not begin with the first course. It begins with preparing everything for you with care.

By reserving in advance, you help us prepare for your visit personally and thoughtfully. It allows us to look forward to welcoming you and your guests, prepare your table and create relaxed, precious moments for you to enjoy.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to welcome you in the way we like best: attentively, warmly and well prepared.
