Welcome

Nice that you are looking around

See you soon at Guggital

A la carte

Menu

Moules Delight at the Guggital 🦪

Following last year’s success, our menu once again features refined mussel specialties – both classic and creatively reinterpreted.

Look forward to traditional Moules et Frites served in an aromatic broth, creative combinations such as Burrata ravioli with mussels, or a Risotto “Patate e cozze”. As a starter, mussels are equally delightful – for example in a creamy saffron potato soup or paired with black squid-ink tagliolini.

But our menu has much more to offer: seasonal specialties with fish and meat, Italian-inspired classics, vegetarian and vegan creations, as well as homemade desserts and ice cream prepared according to the tradition of our house.

A menu for enjoyable late-winter and early-spring moments – sometimes light and Mediterranean, sometimes classic, always prepared with great care and attention to detail.

Dessert Menu

Homemade Desserts with Tradition

The Guggital’s love of sweet creations began with senior chef Franz Elsener – a trained confectioner who laid the foundation for our exquisite dessert culture.

To this day, our dessert menu features traditional sweets based on his original recipes. Among the timeless classics: Cassata, Linzer Torte, and our famous Zug Iced Coffee.

The passion for dessert has always been passed down in the Guggital. A few years ago, Satha Satchithanantham created a new signature piece: the Zug Kirsch Ice Cream Cake. This dessert quickly became a guest favourite and has since joined the ranks of our beloved Guggital classics.

Our homemade ice cream also holds a special place in our tradition – it used to be stirred by hand in the old brine bath. Many of our ice cream recipes are still based on Franz Elsener’s originals and are refined each season with new, creative flavours.

Our dessert menu is regularly enriched with delightfully seasonal creations. At Guggital, there is always something new and tempting to discover for your sweet tooth.

We look forward to welcoming you soon – and to spoiling you with a homemade dessert, straight from the Guggital tradition.
