More than just rooms await you in the Guggital – here you will experience a history that spans five centuries and has been shaped by countless generations with attention to detail.
Over the centuries, the Guggital has grown from a modest farm and developed into a quiet retreat that is nevertheless close to the city of Zug. With a breathtaking view of the lake, the city and the majestic mountains, the hotel bears the traces of its long family history and has been carefully brought into the modern age, always with respect for the past and the stories that lie within the walls.
The various extensions from different eras give the Guggital a variety of room types and categories.
Each room in the Guggital has been lovingly renovated and features a new lighting concept as well as high-quality mattresses and two pillows* for the perfect night's sleep, so that your stay with us is not only comfortable, but unforgettable.

Our rooms in the newer part of the house offer wonderful comfort and breathtaking views. Each room is accessible by elevator and offers either a view of the lake and mountains or the lake and the city. Most rooms also have a balcony.

Immerse yourself in the cozy atmosphere of our lovingly designed rooms, which have recently undergone a refreshing renovation. Spend restful nights on our high-quality pocket spring mattresses, which are equipped with the latest technology. The bathrooms have also been modernized to offer you even more comfort.
Our house is spread over two floors and has a charm all of its own. Since there is no elevator or balcony and some of the floors are not completely flat, these rooms are cheaper.
In this part of the house you can expect:
Six rooms with enchanting views of the lake and the city of Zug
Six more rooms without direct lake view, but with the wonderful sight of seasonal flowers
