To this day, our dessert menu features traditional sweets based on his original recipes. Among the timeless classics: Cassata, Linzer Torte, and our famous Zug Iced Coffee. The passion for dessert has always been passed down in the Guggital. A few years ago, Satha Satchithanantham created a new signature piece: the Zug Kirsch Ice Cream Cake. This dessert quickly became a guest favourite and has since joined the ranks of our beloved Guggital classics. Our homemade ice cream also holds a special place in our tradition – it used to be stirred by hand in the old brine bath. Many of our ice cream recipes are still based on Franz Elsener’s originals and are refined each season with new, creative flavours. Our dessert menu is regularly enriched with delightfully seasonal creations. At Guggital, there is always something new and tempting to discover for your sweet tooth.
